У статті розкрито особливості формування соціально-економічної компетентності майбутніх фахівців пенітенціарної служби України. Визначено, що у вищих військових навчальних закладах формується не лише професійна підготовленість, але й компетентності, які дають змогу до адаптації у інших сферах життєдіяльності. З’ясовано, що формування соціально-економічних компетентностей майбутніх фахівців кримінально-виконавчої системи формується поетапно.
